December

Monday 16th December – Cooking Day

Today is our creative day of mixing, cooking and baking  the Recreate kitchen! We’ll be learning to plan our meals together before whipping up a storm making some yummy treats for the group!

Tuesday 17th December – Bowling and Megazone   

Enjoy some fast-paced action with some games of Laser tag in the morning, followed by a chilled lunch and some friendly competition at the bowling lanes in the afternoon!

Wednesday 18th December – Butterfly Creek and Mini Golf 

Butterflies, Salt water crocodiles, birds and goats are just some of the animals we get to go visit at the awesome Butterfly creek. A day of fun with a relaxed Minigolf session in the afternoon.

Thursday 19th December – Matakana Movies  

We’ll be taking the van north today, as we head to Matakana for a flick and an ice cream. We might even get a chance to explore the Donkey Reserve and sneak them an apple!

Friday 20th December – Amy’s Pool Party  

We all know Amy loves to plan a party, and because it’s Amy’s last day at recreate before she flies off on her new adventure, we are planning her a very special leaving party! Think: Pool, DJ, BBQ, friends and great banter!

January

Monday 20th January – Farmageddon Movie and Pancakes  

Come catch the latest Shawn the Sheep movie; Farmageddon! After enjoying this flick, we will head back to the Recreate kitchen to make some delicious pancakes for us to enjoy.  

Tuesday 21st January – Butterfly Creek and Mini golf 

Butterflies, alligators and farm animals all await us at Butterfly Creek so come prepared with your cameras! After this we will enjoy some friendly mini golf competition. 

Wednesday 22nd January – Bowling and West Wave 

Time to head to the Bowling lanes and see how many strikes you can get ! Make sure to bring your togs as we go for a swim at West Wave afterwards.

Thursday 23rd January – Kiwi valley and jump    

Kiwi Valley in the Waitakere Ranges is filled with classic farmyard animals, such as horses, goats and donkeys! After lunch we’ll be burning off some energy bouncing around at Jump!

Friday 24th January – Tree adventures    

Conquer your fear of heights and work together to swing from tree to tree as we will be heading to Woodhill’s forest’s Tree Adventures for the day!

Swimming at the Pools

Saturday 22nd February

9:30am - 1:30pm

It’s the height of summer and we’ll be heading out to cool off in the water at one of our favourite pools! Together with games and good friends this will be a fun morning out for everyone.

Leigh Short Break

3rd – 5th April 

​

We will be staying at a classic Kiwi Bach in Leigh. Just an hour’s drive from Auckland, Leigh is the perfect location for a weekend escape. With options for markets, beach missions, local walks and more, this weekend will be a relaxing retreat with friends.

Shakespear Lodge Adventure Weekend

27th – 29th March

​

We’re heading back to our favourite camp on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula for a weekend of reaching new heights and personal goals! Come along to learn new outdoor skills and try out exciting land and water-based activities.

Week One - Option One

Monday 9th December – Beach day out 

Summer is here, so come and join us for a beautiful day out. We will head to one of Auckland’s finest beaches to catch some rays and hang out with friends. 

Tuesday 10th December – Wero rafting

Come check out Vectors Wero Whitewater park and experience Auckland’s ultimate Whitewater adventure rush with us!  

Wednesday 11th December – Bowling and Laser tag

An epic day for some friendly bowling competition, then team up with your mates for some laser tag battles.

Thursday 12th December – Kiwi Valley and Jump

Come with us to Kiwi Valley where we will pet lovely farm animals, rides horses and get lost in a maze! Then we will finish off the day, by letting off some steam at jump!  

Friday 13th December – Devonport movies 

Let’s catch a ferry ride to Devonport and head to the movies to see the latest release.

Monday 9th December – Rainbows end  

Rainbows End where the fun never ends! We will all have a good time together at our favourite theme park, catching as many rides as we can!

Tuesday 10th December – Wero rafting

Wednesday 11th December – Swimming and Movies 

Join us for a day at the pools catching slides and some sunshine. We will be going to catch the latest movie after this. 

Thursday 12th December – Alpaca Day  

Have you ever wanted to come check out some beautiful alpacas? Join us as we head to the Alpaca farm for a fun day of feeding and exploring.

Friday 13th December – Sports day 

Feeling a bit bored at home? Then it’s time to get out for a fun sports driven day to get the blood flowing and make the most of summer.

Week Two

Monday 16th December – Swimming and Bowling 

Sharpen up your bowling skills and bring along some friendly competition as we head out for a day of bowling and laser strike!

Tuesday 17th December – Parakai pools  

Epic hydro slides and hot spas await us at Parakai Pools, so pack your lunch as we celebrate the last of the summer warmth!

Wednesday 18th December – Movies and Mini Golf

Chill out with us on a relaxed day, catching the latest flick and aiming for that hole in one at one of our favourite minigolf spots!

Thursday 19th December – Kiwi Valley and Jump 

We’ll be heading out to Kiwi valley in Henderson for a fun day of riding horses, feeding animals and much more. We’ll finish off the day with the epic trampolines at Jump!

Friday 20th December – Pool BBQ 

We all know Amy loves to plan a party, and because it’s Amy’s last day at recreate before she flies off on her new adventure, we are planning her a very special leaving party! Think:

Week One 

​

Thursday 9th January – Long Bay and BBQ 

A chill start to the term, we will be heading out to Long Bay for some catch ups and have a fun BBQ all together, as well as share some holiday stories! 

Friday 10th January – Matakana Movies 

We’ll be taking the van north today as we head to Matakana for the latest flick . We might even feed the donkeys in the reserve a sneaky apple or two!

Week Two 

​

Monday 20th January – Jump and Devonport Movies 

Today we will be heading out for a fun day on the North Shore. We will first be heading to Jump, and then catching the latest flick at Devonport to unwind. 

Tuesday 21st January – Goat Island Glass Bottom boat   

Ever feel like seeing fishes up close without swimming? We will be hopping on the Goat Island Glass Bottom Boat to try spot as many fish as we can!

 Wednesday 22nd January – Rainbows End with BOP & Waikato!

The Bay of Plenty and Waikato crew will be joining us at Rainbows End, get ready as we will be having a full-on day of thrills, laughs and great banter.

Thursday 23rd January – Clip’n’Climb and Megazone   

Get your harness ready as we will be doing some rock-climbing at Clip’n’Climb. Followed by   some friendly competition at Laser tag. 

Friday 24th January – Waingaro Hot Pools   

After a busy week of programmes, we will be heading to Waingaro Hot Pools to experience some epic slides and relax with friends. 

Week Two

Monday 13th January – Piha adventure and Arataki day

A little trip to explore West Auckland, we will go to Piha to look at the sights, followed by a fun bush walk at the Arataki centre.    

Tuesday 14th January – Bake a cake for a mate 

Get in the kitchen with us as we will be learning to bake a cake! We will do our own shopping and work collectively to make some tasty cakes! 

Wednesday 15th January –Auckland zoo 

Watch out zoo here we come! Our group will be hanging out with the Zebras, elephants, and monkeys so bring a packed lunch and your cameras to explore the animal kingdom!

Thursday 16th January – A Day at the Youth Camp   

Today we will be going to visit the crew at camp, and join them on their adventures, for a fun day of teamwork, catch ups and laughs! 

Friday 17th January – Wenderholm beach day

Come join us for an exciting day as we head to Wenderholm beach, for a fun day of swimming to relish the rays with some amazing friends!

Kiwanis Camp

14th- 17th January 

​

A summer favourite in a new location! Come join us as we spend 4 days in the beautiful Waitakere Ranges! We have plenty of fun activities and the awesome camp concert which will be one you won’t want to miss! There will be many good times to be had! Spaces are limited, so book in quick.

Waiheke Short Break

28th February – 1st March

​

A rare opportunity, Recreate will be heading to the beautiful Waiheke Island for a weekend away! Only a short ferry ride away from Auckland, this is a truly unique hideaway. Join us for a weekend of exploring the island, making friends and relaxing in paradise.

Lantern Festival

Saturday 15th February              

5:30pm - 9:30pm

A Recreate classic, we will be attending the annual celebration of Chinese New Years! Full of light, music and dance this will be a great evening out.

Whangamata Getaway

13th – 15th March

departing 2pm or 3pm

Nothing says summer more than a weekend away to Whangamata! Join us as we catch the last of the hot weather exploring the surrounding beaches, local walks, shops and more!

National Youth Camp  Motutapu Island

21st  – 24th April

​

Come with us and enjoy an awesome week of adventure and fun on beautiful Motutapu Island! We will have lots of activities prepared for camp and you will get to see your friends from Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Christchurch. We can’t wait to see you there!

Breakers at Spark Arena

Sunday 19th January

We have absolutely loved the times we have supported the Breakers, especially in the heart of the city at Spark Arena. For dinner we will be sitting in at Hell Pizza so this will make for a fun Sunday evening out!

Blues vs Crusaders

Friday 14th February 

5:30pm - 9:30pm

We’ll be cheering on our favourite team as they go head to head with the Crusaders at Mt Eden stadium. Come along for a fun night and bring along your loudest cheering voices!

Disney night - First Fridays

Friday 6th March

For our monthly first Friday event we will be hosting an epic Disney themed party! Dress as your favourite character and bring your best game face as we play some magically themed games!

Girls Trip to Bay of Islands! 

20th – 22nd March

​

Girls Tripppp! Come with us as we make the most of the last few days of summer up the in gorgeous Bay of Islands. A relaxing weekend full of pampering, adventure and quality time with the gals.

Taupo Getaway

14th – 17th April

Come join us for 4 days of fun as we explore all there is to see and do in Taupo. From relaxing in the hot spas, to checking out bubbling mud pools and Huka falls, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Marlborough Sounds Kayaking Trip

7th February – 11th February 

​

We are off to explore the tip of the South Island for 5 days. We will be taking in the breath-taking beauty of the majestical Marlborough sounds from both our kayaks and on the Queen Charlotte track.  If you feel you are up for putting in the mahi on the sea and land for a rewarding experience, then send us your booking request ASAP!

Amazing Race Getaway

21st – 23rd February

Have you got what it takes to win Recreates’ first ever Amazing Race? This getaway will see us crossing oceans, solving puzzles and battling it out to see who will cross the finish line first!

Waitakere Adventure Weekend

13th – 15th March

​

Calling all keen adventurers and trampers! The Waitakere Ranges is full of amazing walks and waterfalls and we will spend the weekend checking them out. We will base ourselves in the Alpine Sports Club Hut off Anawhata Road and we will spend the days exploring all of the hidden gems along the West Coast!

Lads Club in the Coromandel 

20th – 22nd March

​

While the Girls Club is up North, the Lads are going to Matarangi in the Coromandel over the same weekend! Plenty of beach time along with a classic BBQ dinner and quality time with just the Lads!

Easter Hunt

Friday 3rd April, 5:30pm – 9:30pm

​

Easter is around the corner and we will heading out for an epic Recreate Easter hunt! Bring along your creative side as there will be plenty of themed crafts!

Matakana Short Break

14th – 16th Feburary 

​

Heading north is always a treat for our Short Breaks and this time we are staying in the stunning Matakana. This is the perfect place for relaxing, meeting new people and visiting the famous Matakana markets.

Kawakawa Farmstay  

6th – 8th March

​

We are quite excited to rebook this picturesque farmstay up north, just outside of Kawakawa. Our generous hosts have a very accommodating house for us amongst the farm animals, where we can make delicious meals and explore the north in the last days of summer!

Dinner Club

Dinner Club is aimed at those who are 25+. These are casual evenings to chat, joke and learn over a healthy and delicious meal which explores new cuisines every month. Meet new people, engage socially and take away useful cooking skills. These events are intended to be fun, sophisticated and somewhat educational at the same time!
