Let's head off to Kauaeranga Valley Camp in Thames where we will join Recreate Bay of Plenty, Waikato AND Wellington for an epic 4 days. Expect fun times with archery, water sliding, team building, and the legendary talent show. Challenge yourself while making new friendships!

Recreate NZ, Choices NZ and Sudima Hotels have designed a paid internship programme for individuals with intellectual disability, neurodiversity or a long-term health condition interested in learning more about the hospitality industry. There are options for trialing front desk, food & beverage or housekeeping roles in hotels around the country. You must be on a benefit, ready to work in a team environment and have a support person to assist if required. Recreate NZ facilitates Moxie Employment training with businesses that share our values. The aim is to carefully match Moxie trainees with suitable employers and facilitate a training period that results in permanent, part time employment. Moxie Employment achieves success because trainees already participate in other Recreate NZ programmes, allowing facilitators to deeply understand individuals and can confidently advocate to employers. In some instances, we may suggest you attend other programmes that will support learning in specific skill areas as well as giving us time to get to know you better. We have seen great success in the past few years and are very keen to keep growing this exciting and dynamic employment stream. Employers are then matched with appropriate trainees based on interests, skill, location, and shift times. We will do our best to find work for all who are interested, but suggest you continue your own investigations too. Please note, we cannot guarantee immediate work. Let's get resourceful with Garden to Plate! We utilise the crops at Recreate's back garden and our orchards to create delicious meals. Through this midweek, you will learn gardening skills, how to utilise ingredients on hand, and culinary skills in the kitchen! Some weeks lunches will be provided, some weeks you'll have treats to take home, and other weeks we will help Recreate by doing preparations for other programmes.

16th October - 4th December (8 weeks)

Help us turn the fruit and vegetables grown in the Moxie garden/orchard into delicious preserves for the Our Harvest social enterprise - Growing Goodness Together. We will develop kitchen production skills, following instructions in sequence, kitchen safety, quality & packaging skills and working collaboratively in a team as part of your journey towards greater community contribution.

Take on Auckland's best in this 3-day adventure as we climb the Harbour Bridge and take on the Zipline and Shooting Star bungy at Auckland Adventure Park. Perfect for explorers seeking that adrenaline rush, new heights, and the best views!

Ready for some fun? Come to Parakai Springs for a half-day adventure, zoom down the hydro slides, splash around in the pool, and unwind in the spa. The perfect midday escape! Please make sure to bring your togs and towel!
