Recreate NZ facilitates Moxie Employment training with businesses that share our values. The aim is to carefully match Moxie trainees with suitable employers and facilitate a training period that results in permanent, part time employment. Moxie Employment achieves success because trainees already participate in other Recreate NZ programmes, allowing facilitators to deeply understand individuals and can confidently advocate to employers. In some instances, we may suggest you attend other programmes that will support learning in specific skill areas as well as giving us time to get to know you better. We have seen great success in the past few years and are very keen to keep growing this exciting and dynamic employment stream. Employers are then matched with appropriate trainees based on interests, skill, location, and shift times. We will do our best to find work for all who are interested, but suggest you continue your own investigations too. Please note, we cannot guarantee immediate work. Moxie Employment is arranged with employers as opportunities arise. It's a holiday programme adventure special!! On this special adventure urban HP, we will be going out to do some white water rafting and adding a bit of adventure to our day!

Friday's - 9am-3.30pm, 17th October - 5th December 2025.

Life skills course every Friday for 8 weeks. This On The Move is focussed on our overall wellbeing and healthy living. We will learn the four aspects of Hauora and how they interlink with one another, while doing some really fun activities.

Let your emotions out in the SMASH ROOM!! Release your energy with the experts, and then we'll relax with some mindful painting. Whether you have some energy to let loose or want to have some fun in a safe environment, come along!

Friday 7th November - Sunday 9th November 2025.

The weather is starting to get warmer so we are heading to Kairakau Beach for this Short Break. Close to Napier, it will be a nice and relaxing getaway with some awesome views.

Thursday 11th December - Sunday 14th December 2025.

On this 4-day adventure we're heading to Tauranga. We'll be celebrating the first month of summer by getting out and exploring lots of fun summer outdoor activities: swimming at the beach, visiting Hobbiton, walking up the mount plus so much more summer active fun!

Tuesday 20th January - Friday 23rd January 2026.

Let's head off to Kauaeranga Valley Camp in Thames where we will join Recreate Bay of Plenty, Waikato AND Auckland for an epic 4 days. Expect fun times with archery, water sliding, team building, and the legendary talent show. Challenge yourself while making new friendships!

Splish Splash, we'll be making waves at the pools. We'll then finish the day up with some exciting mini golf!

Friday 26th September 2025

We'll begin the day scavenging the city on a hunt that will take us all around the place with lots of fun to be found, then we'll play a friendly game of bubble soccer in the afternoon.

Monday 29th September 2025

Kicking off our second week of holidays we will be doing some sports games and having all sorts of fun, in the afternoon we'll be learning some circus tricks with Circus hub, come join!

Tis the spooky season! It is time for a party! Dress up in your best Halloween costume and come hang out with the Recreate crew for some haunting fun.

Build, Sculpt, Paint. We will be working with Clay and creating some masterpieces. We will also be going out for dinner!

Amelie the Musical by Witch Music Theatre is coming to Wellington. Even if you aren't familiar with the show, these productions are always AMAZING! With singing and dancing, you don't want to miss it.

Keen to have a wickedly good day? We'll be having some fun and games in the afternoon, followed by a visit to the cinema to see Wicked: For Good and ending with a yummy dinner out!

Time to hone your skills at laser tag! We'll go out for a yummy dinner and then spend the evening playing lots of rounds of laser tag in on an epic night.

It is time for another visit to the Pantomime! This time round we're seeing the story of Robin Hood in what is sure to be an incredibly entertaining show.

Today we're joining the Circus Hub for another fun session learning some circus skills (this can be your first time doing it). We're going to also visit the Wellington Museum & headed out for lunch on this fun filled day.

Let's have a zoo-perb day out at the Zoo! We'll visit our animal friends and have some lunch together. It's going to be a purrrfect day.

Now that its officially summer it is time to get out into nature and explore the natural beauty Zealandia has to offer. We will also spend some time searching op shops for some fun things to collect.

Who doesn't like a fun day out at sea exploring an island? Today we'll be stopping by somes island for an adventure, and we'll also be stopping by the pool for a relaxing summer swim.

The final holiday programme of the year!! Let's do some Christmas baking and then take our yummy baking to the cinema! What could be a better way to end the year than that?
